Acupuncture currently represents a highly valuable complementary tool within clinical dental and maxillofacial practice. Its application can effectively contribute before, during, and after numerous procedures, helping optimize the patient experience while facilitating the clinician’s work.
This course-workshop was developed with a strongly practical and clinical orientation, specifically designed for dentists and maxillofacial surgeons interested in incorporating complementary, safe, and highly effective therapeutic resources into their daily practice.
In addition to the most common applications within clinical dentistry, the program will place special emphasis on certain pathologies and functional disorders specific to the maxillofacial field, where scalp acupuncture and electroacupuncture may provide particularly useful complementary tools for pain management, paresthesia, functional recovery, and selected neuromuscular disorders.
The proposal integrates different advanced scalp acupuncture systems and microsystems, strategically selected to avoid interference with the dentist’s working field. Therefore, the therapeutic approach will focus primarily on the head and hands.
The methodology prioritizes clinical practice, ease of application, and therapeutic effectiveness.
